ABOUT US

The Formation State Bank of India Employees Mutually Aided Co-Operative Credit Society Ltd. has flagged off with a moto of mutual Cooperative movement in Trade unionism.  The aim is to provide aid to award staff employees who were in financial needs, which was further fortified and consolidated by the Legendary Leader Late Com Y Tharaknath.  His untiring hard work for the upliftment of members has resulted in the formation of Societies in State Bank of India, in the erstwhile State of Andhra pradesh

 

The cooperative movement in State bank of India initially provided greater help especially to our subordinate staff , who were with low salary profile, with day to day sudden living financial expenses like Marraiges of children and Sisters, Medical facilities to parents.    The area of operation of the Society was initially confined to the limits of the then SBI Hyderabad Circle.  As a result, initially 9 societies were formed at Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Nellore, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Machilipatnam, Eluru and Gudivada.   Later the last three viz.. Machilipatnam, Eluru and Gudivada merged with Vijayawada.  At present there are Five Societies which  are operating successfully under the aegis of State Bank of India Staff Union Amaravati Circle under its geographical operation of Amaravati Circle.
